No I did ask her
6:00 PM
but she doesn't always answer
Avatar
Case in point.
Avatar
so when she doesn't answer, how should I proceed?
Avatar
Assume no
Avatar
...don't assume.
Avatar
>Is getting conflicting answers >is highly confused (edited)
Avatar
My tups are able to confirm it 100% of the time
Avatar
You don't have to assume it as positive or negative - you can act accordingly without knowing, because often it doesn't even matter.
Avatar
I know it doesn't really matter
Avatar
Well confirm or deny
Avatar
so again, how do I proceed?
Avatar
If it doesn't matter, you proceed without knowing and don't assume you know. That's really it.
6:03 PM
Uncertainty isn't a bad thing, and it's perfectly fine to accept it if you don't get confirmation one way or the other.
Avatar
don't assume you know =/= assume you don't know, right?
Avatar
Not knowing is the default position requiring no assumptions.
Avatar
Occasionally I take things I thought of as my tulpa’s words when I should have done a confirmation check
6:03 PM
We figure it out later but it’s never been an issue for us, they only get mildly annoyed
Avatar
@SkyeNet I know that, but the default position is a state that I habitually attempt to exit
Avatar
The main thing isn't so much not assuming ever, but the point is to not make a habit of it.
6:04 PM
I know.
6:04 PM
That's normal, O1-1 - but it often isn't a good thing to try and exit the state of not knowing without solid reason to, as it can lead to incorrect conclusions an unfortunate amount of the time.'
6:04 PM
If you don't know, you don't know. That goes for... well, everything.
Avatar
ok welp I'mma go eat and try doing a forcing exercise where she eats with me

🤔
9:54 PM
I'm worried that I'll lose interest in Natt at some point...
Avatar
Nathan, you can say that about any relationship you have.
Avatar
Deleted User 5/25/2018 9:55 PM
Are you starting to lose interest now or is this just future thinking?
Avatar
bduddy #Diana# 5/25/2018 9:56 PM
I think the same thing a lot, too. But you know, the fact that you're worried about it means that it probably won't happen. If you didn't care, you wouldn't worry.

Mhmm, agreed
9:59 PM
Guess you're right
Avatar
@Deleted User, I would not be concerned - partially because, upon her being vocal and independent, she should be capable of asserting herself.
Avatar
Yeah
10:04 PM
I haven't talked to her all day though
10:05 PM
The thought came and I was worried somewhat
Avatar
Check in with her! 😃
Avatar
Indeed.
Avatar
Yeah
Avatar
Managed to talk with my tup for like 2 seconds when I realized I was dreaming earlier today. In those two seconds (my first lucid dream ever btw), she finally decided on a name, though I'm not sure how it's spelled. Either Cille or Ciel. Probably Cille.
12:46 PM
Also, I've got a bruise under one of my fingernails that is the exact color of her scales. Heh.
12:47 PM
/nick Doc 'n' Cille
Avatar
did you intend that to be a command?
Avatar
Yup. Oops.
Avatar
I'll do it
12:53 PM
There

Thanks Indigo!

I have been forcing for about the last three days, passive and active, and whenever I start up the passive forcing, I feel this pressure near the back of my head. I know it may be a difficult thing to answer but would this be my tulpa? Whenever I stop it goes away so I know it can't be from dehydration or anything. (edited)
Avatar
head pressures while forcing are fairly common, I'm not sure what exactly they indicate but they do provide some information that something is happening
Avatar
I’m worried I have too many tulpas
Avatar
How many tulpas do you have?
Avatar
I think I accidentally made two tulpas instead of one, guys
8:46 PM
I just realized that the reason I couldn’t sense either of them was because I was trying to perceive them as one thing, which didn’t work at all
8:47 PM
What should I do? I feel like I need to put one on hold while I progress with another; I’m worried that I won’t be able to handle forcing two of them at the same time
Avatar
Well, if you don't give one of them attention for too long, they'll dissipate
8:48 PM
so really it's either an issue of morality or sanity
8:49 PM
if you don't want one or another to dissipate and think you can stay sane, then i'd say go for it. if you think it'll drive you mad, then i think you need to let one of them go
Avatar
it may be possible to merge them into 1 tulpa
Avatar
are tulpa capable of merging? I just typed that out haha
Avatar
i don't know anything about that, sorry
Avatar
it's been mentioned on the forums a few times, it's not very common but it can happen
Avatar
Well, Luna has stuck around despite me not intentionally focusing on her
8:59 PM
I’m gonna try keeping both of them for now. Let’s see how this goes
Avatar
fair enough. Hope it goes well for you
Avatar
Luna and Athena seem to get along
Avatar
off to a good start, then
Avatar
I am curious to know if I can force both at the same time; I.e. send both of them signals
Avatar
yeah, you can definitely spend time with multiple tulpas at once
Avatar
I think I accidentally made two tulpas instead of one, guys Ooo, twins.

Avatar
Well, I hypothesize that what really happened was that I was in the process of forcing one when I read a guide which recommended that I do personality forcing, which ended up producing an entirely separate tulpa. They were likely born within a few days of each other though

Is it possible to use what you are currently thinking about as narration
12:04 AM
I mean can you project what your thinking to your tulpa as a form of narration
Avatar
ionlyplaywarframeyoucanunfriend 5/28/2018 12:05 AM
So like if i think about a part in a show and i project that thought to my tulpa it would work?
Avatar
Yes, but that would certainly be forcing passively.
12:06 AM
Unless you are directly trying to communicate with them, speak to them with focus, for the purpose of explaining it - as an example.
Avatar
ionlyplaywarframeyoucanunfriend 5/28/2018 12:06 AM
Alright
Avatar
Simply thinking about something for your own sake and directing it towards them is almost always going to be passive forcing.
Avatar
Hi
1:08 AM
I'm new here
1:08 AM
welcome
1:10 AM
have any questions for us?
Avatar
How do I know my passive forcing is working
1:11 AM
I think I have a tulpa growing but somedays I don't feel anything from them
Avatar
well, if you're directing your thoughts towards your tulpa, then you're managing it. there's no real way to "know for sure" but if you believe you are, then you are
1:12 AM
you won't "hear" them for some time likely. Emily and i used headpressures when i was still learning to hear her
Avatar
the headpressure is why I mean
1:12 AM
sometimes it's very faint
Avatar
it'll get stronger
1:13 AM
try using one side of your head for yes, the other for no, as a very simple form of binary
1:13 AM
Em used my temples, because they're sensitive
Avatar
Hello.
Avatar
Just active and passive force as much as possible without straining yourself and you'll get there eventually
Avatar
I'm afraid I am going to have to rain on your parade here - head pressures are an entirely unreliable method of determining that your making a tulpa is working.
